OUR PROJECTS
We’re proud to have contributed over $3 million to projects within our community
Eumundi Student
Support
Whether it’s for sport, student exchange programs, music tours or anything that gives Eumundi kids the chance to excel and do amazing things, EDCA loves to help out.
Below are just some of the ways we’ve supported local students.
Student Sport Championships
Whether it’s swimming, aerobics, cricket, soccer, or any sport that gives our local students the opportunity to compete at state or national level - we know how expensive it can be.
Over the years, EDCA has contributed towards:
Travel costs
Uniforms
Accommodation
We love when students show their own initiative to fundraise or help out in the community - such as volunteering at the community garden or helping with car parking.
In return, we’re proud to help them strive and reach their goals.
Student Exchange Programs
Jimmy is a local high school student who had the chance to participate in a student exchange program and live in Japan.
But the cost was far too much for his family, who were already doing it tough.
Jimmy took it upon himself to raise some of the money and then approached EDCA for help. Because of his initiative, we happily contributed towards his trip - on the condition he:
Sent through a few great photos from his time away, and
Came along to one of our meetings when he got back to tell us all about it!
These kinds of opportunities are life-changing, and we’re honoured to help make them happen.
Eumundi Local Family Support
There have been some devastating events in our little town - house fires, car accidents, farming injuries, and suicide.
The effect these events can have on local families is life-changing, and getting through each day afterwards is unimaginable.
EDCA has provided emergency funds in times like these. We know it doesn’t make everything better, but it can make something a little easier.
Over $8,700 in total donations helping students and families.
Eumundi Events
Well, we’ve been quite an eventful little town for many years now!
There’s been:
Eumundi Food Fest
Fashion parades
Carols by Candlelight
Christmas Extravaganzas
Body Art and Wearable Art Festivals
ANZAC Day parades
Australia Day celebrations
Business Award nights, Pride of Work Awards, Halloween nights, and of course...
Oh and did we mention the music festivals like the Eumundi School of Music and Sunshine Sounds Festival!
There are many volunteer organisations in Eumundi that dedicate serious time, effort and skills to hold events like these - and EDCA has run a few of our own!
We proudly support events that:
Enrich our town
Bring the community together
Celebrate who we are
If you're planning something special, we’re always happy to look at your proposal. What we consider:
How your event benefits Eumundi
Your experience running events
How much volunteer support you have
In-kind and financial support from others
Contingency plans (just in case the rain shows up!)
Over $152,000 contributed to events that bring arts, culture and history alive in our community.
Town Infrastructure
EDCA is proud to have contributed to some of the most important infrastructure projects in Eumundi.
Some of our signature investments include:
Over $500,000 towards the creation of the Eumundi public swimming pool as a part contribution between local, state & federal government
Over $300,000 towards the Terraces upgrade where the Wednesday Market is held
Over $1.2 million invested in land at 21 Memorial Drive for potential future community housing
Over $200,000 in improvements to the Old Scout Hall, a building we’ve leased for over 8 years now
We’ve also contributed to smaller but meaningful town improvements like:
A defibrillator
A wheelchair
Several memorial benches (Chris Walters, BP Bob, War Memorial)
Alan Templeton Park renovations
The “Welcome to Eumundi” sign
We’re always happy to be involved in any infrastructure project that benefits the town.
Over $2,570,000 invested to improve our town for the community.
Helping Local
Volunteer Organisations
Caring for Animals
We’ve proudly assisted groups like:
Pomona Meals on Wheels
Katie Rose Cottage
Riding for the Disabled
And more…
Over $164,000 to support organisations who give endlessly to our community.
For many years, EDCA has donated significantly to WILVOS, a local group that works 24/7 to rescue and care for injured native wildlife.
If you’ve ever shown up at their door with a box and a hurt animal, you’ll know how dedicated they are.
Other donations have gone to:
RSPCA Food Appeal
Riding for the Disabled
Parks and Wildlife
Community Comes Together
When a small group of volunteers wanted to start a community garden, EDCA saw the passion. That team raised around $17,000 to kick it off, and EDCA backed them with another $50,000. Thanks to their hard work — and help from Rotary and volunteer tradies — a thriving garden was built next to the Old Scout Hall.
We’ve also been long-time supporters of the Eumundi Showgrounds Association, helping in the early days with things like:
Buying a printer
Paying for insurance
Kitchen equipment
Horse ribbons and more
The Eumundi Rural Fire Brigade is another group we’ve supported — such as covering $1,800 to repair a faulty gate so fire trucks could get out in a power outage.
Sporting Clubs
EDCA has helped local sporting clubs for many years — because we believe in supporting activities that keep our kids happy, healthy and connected.
Support has gone to:
Eumundi Tennis Club — extensions, ball machine, fencing, roofing, a tennis challenge
Eumundi Rugby Dragons — setup costs, shirts and equipment
Eumundi Swimming Club — laptop, towels, t-shirts, running costs
Eumundi Netball Team — equipment
So many of these clubs are run by volunteers — parents giving up their weekends to create something special. EDCA is proud to stand behind them.
Over $67,000 donated to support local sport.
Local Schools
Eumundi State School is the lifeblood of our town — it’s where so many of our young people go to learn, make friends and begin their journey in this community.
EDCA has always been happy to support ESS, including:
New computers
Sports equipment
Graduation ceremonies
One of our longest-running contributions is the annual Christmas hamper drive for families doing it tough - something we’ve been part of since before 2008.
Each year, the hampers cost between $1,700 and $3,000, depending on how many families are in need.
The School P&C keeps it anonymous, and EDCA simply follows the instructions.
We’ve also helped with:
Back-to-school book packs for struggling families
Donations to Noosa District High School for Business Week
Support for the Immanuel College Youth Orchestra on their trip to Canada!
A recent donation to keep the ESS Chaplaincy Program going — offering mental and emotional support to students and their families
Over $47,000 contributed to local schools.
